This is sewing week for me. I have been working and completing several projects this month and wanted to share them with you. For each I will be posting a tutorial to go along with the project. Here's a preview of the projects:
Tuesday's Project: Table leaf cover & storage
Wednesday's Project: Comforter (Duvet or Quilt) bag
Thursday's Project: Curling iron travel/storage bag
Friday's Project: Hair Dryer travel/storage bag
Most of the materials I have used are leftover fabric or sheets and other sewing supplies from previous projects. You will learn how to make a drawstring with cord stop, attach a zipper and use bias tape. All great projects for a beginner sewer (like me!).
Let's sew . . .

A quick sewing project . . .
Tissue Pockets. These are great little sewing projects, whether you are a beginner or expert sewer. I love this blog, Sew Mama, Sew and her posts for sewers. Click Here to find the pattern for these tissue pockets.
The directions and photos are great. Just remember to start sewing on a corner of the long side so you end up sewing all the short sides. If you make a mistake you will see when you get to sewing the folded sides that you have the open ends in the wrong spot.
Any fabric or fabric scraps are perfect for this project. You can even get creative with edge stitching in a contrast thread.
Happy Sewing!
